Learning Chinese from the video which I made

I have many hobbies, and the most interesting one is making videos. I start to make video this year in order to make some fun things for Chinese teaching.

I find that making video is really a cool thing. When you collect material for a video, you can dig out a lot fantastic things happened in your life which you never notice it. And if you learn something through, you will never feel boring, will you?

I will show you a video I made this semester for our Chinese Club. During the Video you can learn how to order in Chinese restaurant, by the way, Chinese food is really delicious.

Myself

Why can I read book till midnight? Why can I always help when you need to help? Why can I play basketball all day? Because I am a passionate person. I have several passions. For instance, I am passionate about myself helping others and my hobbies. No matter what happens in my life, or whether doing easy task or facing a big challenge, I do not like to remain constant passion toward life. Passion is an indispensable thing in my life.

I am passionate about myself. Like everyone else, sometimes I can be depressed. When this happened, most people do not want to do anything but stay alone in quiet places. They lose passion toward everything in their life. But that situation won’t happen to me. I can always find something I want to do even when I feel sad. For instance, when I just started college, I got zero in my first quiz. I did not feel sad all day; for I knew there was nothing I can change on this score. After I calmed down, I told myself, I get zero just because I did not know the form of the quiz, and if I pay more attention on this aspect I would do better next time. This situation vividly shows that I am an optimistic and passionate person.

Although I am passion about myself, I put of more my passion in helping others and sacrificing myself, so most of my friends say that I am very helpful and dedicated. As a dedicated person, I think I have passion on helping others. There was a time when our Chinese Club needed someone to make a video for our next class. As mid-term was approaching, everyone had a lot work to do. It was true that no one had enough time to do it, but this was the time when we really needed someone who was willing to devote his or her time. It is my passion that made me do so, and my work finally helped our Chinese Club succeeded in the next class. Willingness to help also shows in every aspect of my daily life. If my friends have any trouble in their life, I will not hesitate helping them. Though some the help seems negligible, like helping others carry things, solve academic problems and do some works which they do not have time to do, my offer still makes my friends fell really warm. My passion teaches me to help other. Although sometimes helping others takes me a lot of time, I am willing to be passionate, especially make a contribution for others.

Besides help others, I also have several hobbies about which I am passionate food, sports and computer games. As everyone knows, Chinese food is the one of the most famous food all over the world and as a Chinese students, I am crazy about the food. I love finding food from all over the world and tasting it. Once in china, I wanted to eat a Chinese traditional food—Beijing Duck. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant cook Beijing Duck near my home. So it took me 1 hour to walk to a restaurant to eat it. When I got there, saw the food, and found the good smell of Beijing Duck, I forgot all the tiredness. Do you see my passion for food?

Sport is another thing I devote my passion on. I can play almost every sport. I do well in basketball, tennis and badminton. While I am playing sports I will forget those depressing thing in my life and feel very excited as well as have a fresh mind to do something else next. Furthermore, I like watching sports game. I dreamed one day I could play with those professional players in NBA. I can sit in front of TV watching sports game for whole day.

Another hobby is playing computer games. I spend most of my spare time on computer games. Computer games really attract me; they are very fun and make me feel relaxed. My favorite computer game is DOTA (defense of the Ancients). Once I play this game with my friends together all week without out doing anything in vacation. I have passion on this because I can play games with my friends. Competing against each other in computer games feels great.

This is the real me, a passionate and dedicated boy. 

HOW I LOVE MATH

From my perspective, math is amazing subject. It can do many inconceivable things, and makes a lot of fun.

Ok let me show you an example of math logic.

There is a story. It says when Pinocchio says lie; the magic will make his nose grow longer.

So, the question is that: when Pinocchio says: “My nose will grow longer!!” What happen to his nose?

Take a guess of the answer. I know you are so confused now.

Let me tell you, the answer is that his nose will grow longer!!

WHY??? I think you must ask that. The key to this question is that it does not say his nose will not grow longer when he tells truth.

Are you surprised? That is the logic of math, and that is the reason why math attract me a lot. Not only can I gain some useful knowledge from it, but also it is really fun!

Math is not hard as you think. I put my interest in it and find it is easy. Math is used in everyday life. For instance, if I want to get a place, and there are many routes. So which route is the best one, I can use math skill to figure out the shortest way I can go. And it helps me to save time. Another example is about managing time. When I first attended to college, I had a lot of things need to do. The life is very mass, and I feel very bad. After I used math to make schedule, it became better. That is math work in our life. As I love using math in my life, I find it is easy to learn it.

Do you worry about math? Love it, it can give you surprised.

Reading book makes me know what is personal responsibility

I have read Atlas Shrugged, and I learn that personal responsibility is very important and meaningful for all of us. So I share what I feel there, and if you like it, you can read this fantastic book.

I learned something important about personal responsibility in this book. Firstly, responsibility walks hand in hand with capacity and power. We can find in this book that people who are more famous, who can easier to show us their personal responsibility. In other way, the people have more power should have more personal responsibility to others. As ordinary people, we can have ordinary life. We don’t need to have big personal responsibility for people. As we have little influence to others, the personal responsibility is little. But those people who are famous, who are smart, and who have large power; they have more personal responsibility than us. Maybe a word from them will change the situation of the world, so they need to have a deep thought before their every action. And what they achieve can make a difference in the world, like John finally destroys the original world, and founds a world he wants. If we want have more power, we need to pay more personal responsibility.

Secondly, when we have begun to take charge of our lives, to own ourselves, there is no longer any need to ask permission of someone. Hank is the character that I like most in this book. He don’t care what other people says to him. Even his wife, brother, and mother cannot change his mind. The only thing he knows is to create the best metal –Rearden Metal. He put all his time and energy on it. For him, making Rearden Metal is his personal responsibility, and he is the only one taking charge, and he doesn’t have to ask others for permission. It is his personal responsibility that he doesn’t give government his Rearden Metal; he want to give what he has for Dagny, and this is also his personal responsibility. We don’t need to ask others, our personal responsibility belongs to us.

Besides, you must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you are in charge of. John Galt is a good example for that. When he was a worker at 20^th century motor factory, he found that the whole cannot be rescued, so he decides to use his own energy to destroy the power of the world. He doesn’t hope the society can change, he knows that the only thing he can do is to believe himself. He takes his personal responsibility to save the people who suffer from this world. So more and more brilliant people quit, John finally achieve his goal. Other people who don’t take personal responsibility will be abandoned at last. Like James Taggart, he fakes Cheryl to get respect, he rely on Dagny to run Taggart Transcontinental, and he want to gain without taking personal responsibility. So he gets nothing in the end. Take you own personal responsibility, it is an indispensable thing to success.

Finally, I believe that every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity is an obligation and every possession is a duty. The people in the world need to learn to do good things for others, like people—Hank, Dagny, John, and Francisco in the book. Don’t act like James, Dr. Ferris, and Mr. Thompson. We gain something from the society, so we need to pay something back. The people who only know asking will get nothing in the end, the people who know sacrifice will gain more beyond imagination. Our personal responsibility is to give, and to make others living in a good life.

All in all, we need to be the kind of people who believe ourselves, sacrifice to others, know what personal responsibility is, and take our personal responsibility to create a brighter future.
